What is Network Marketing?

Network marketing, direct selling or multi level marketing,whatever are the same but little difference exist between them.The strong need for most network marketers to understand the basic fundamentals about network marketing industry is of a great importance.Most of network marketers has failed to teach our newbies (prospects) the basics which has resulted in negative understanding about the industry.For instance, network marketing and direct selling has a significant different between them. A direct selling is restricted to a particular area of jurisdiction in terms of marketing their products or services while network marketing has the ability to transact their business without any restriction of location.Provided all the necessary regulatory documentation are done at the location where the marketing is been done.

  • Prospecting

  • Duplication

These three category of network marketing are very important for you to achieve great success in your business.Before you can project yourself as a leader in this industry,you must have a vast understanding of these category,at least one most have over 50% understanding of these three pillars of network marketing.I’ll be explaining full details for the whole scenario in the video below.

    The network marketing industry so simple that most of us have forgotten the simplicity.But i think we all need to have a strong foundation while considering to start a network marketing business of your choice.

    You have said it well.there is no point of prospecting and then recruit if you know that you will not do the follow up to develop your downlines to be like you ie duplicate.

    Good info, another thing I will add to that pillar is initial cash flow. It takes money to make money, many people have the belief that network marketing is a get rich quick business and that you don't have to do much to be successful. But the truth is that you need to be committed, you need to commit time and money to it. Just like you do in a typical business setup, the great thing about the industry is that you can build it once and build it right, and enjoy the residual and exponential income for the rest of your life. In the company that I work with http://www.agel.com we have people that are now making over $40,000/month for a business they have only invested 2 to 3 year into. Proactively and strategically building leaders in their team.
    If people can invest even if it is only 50% of the kind of commitment the give to a 9 to 5 job, and work it for couple years, they are bound to be successful.

    So my take is that:
    1) Network Marketing is not a get rich quick business
    2) There is WORK involved in NetWORK marketing
    3) There is on going cost associated with it (your Autoship, hosting meetings,ads etc)
    4) You are building a network of products or service consumers
    5) Get trained and train others (Duplication)
    6) Self improvement.

    If you understand these principles, explain them to your prospect and have them commit to following them, and to duplicate the same thing with their own prospect. You will definitely be a success story in the industry.

    You are right Martin but that has been one of the problem most of us (networkers) fails to realized.We talked too much on the complexity of the business rather than explaining the simplicity of the business. The fact still remain that we still needs to start from the basics.

    Hi Tomiwa, I liked your video. You created it nicely. What software did you use for the presentation? Was it just Powerpoint, and recorded with Camtasia? or did you use something different?

    Thanks for the compliment Gavinmountford. I used an application called keynote on my macbook computer with a free video sharing site called screenr.It was recorded with screenr but if you use PC ,you can use powerpoint also with screenr.
